“Everyone has a human right to perform basic maintenance on themselves” - Kelly Starrett

The words of wisdom above, exemplify my approach to helping people move and feel better.

It is my job to help you understand yourself, to empower you, to help create an environment conducive to healing, and to teach you how to help yourself, all in an effort to help you no longer need my services.

I believe in a brain-based, systems approach, one that takes into account the nervous system and human experience, not just the area that hurts, and ask the question “why”. Often times, that mystery lies in your history.

At the end of the day, what I want my patients to know is this:

I am always striving to continue to educate myself, often in interesting, novel ways. Be that from courses, books, people around me, fellow practitioners, my patients, my dog, my wife and son, whatever. The more I know, the better I can help.

Iain is currently part of the Educational Team for RockTape Canada, and is an Instructor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Applied Health at the University of Winnipeg. Both pursuits involve helping other aspiring therapists and movement practitioners of all abilities and experience levels up their game, so they can be their best for their clients.

(PT, OMT, OT, RMT, Movement specialist)

Adhartas Physical Therapy is currently on the lookout for someone in the collective human movement field to join the team. We currently have space to accommodate 1 person full-time or 2 people part-time.

This clinic is a Holistic, Movement-Based, Neurobiopsychosocial space. While Iain’s drive is to grow Adhartas collectively, the goal is to help prospective team members grow themselves, so that they may one day leave to carve their own paths.

Whomever joins the team has to be ok with periodically operating on their own. This may include marketing themselves, community speaking, having a social media presence that includes education and networking, a strong drive for continued, open-minded learning, and having a presence in the community of Norak Crossfit.

If this sounds like you, then Adhartas may be for you.
